Most of the apple shaped women are not aware of the perfect kind of clothes suited for their body. They choose some clothes that make them look more bulky than ever. Instead of lamenting on your shape, you need to choose the right kind of clothes to have a balanced look. One of the most challenging tasks to choose the right kind of dresses is when you have an apple shaped body. You need to find clothes that can camouflage your troubled spots and highlight other positive spots. If you are not sure how to go about it, here is how to dress according to your apple shaped body.
1. Recognize the features
First you have to identify the features of your shape such as wide back, full breasts, slim arms and slim hips. You may also have a trim backside with some weight gain in the midsection. The upper part of the body is larger than the lower part. Buy clothes that cover the troubled areas and highlight the attractive features.
2. Choose a perfect tee
Choose a tunic style or a floaty tee. It can cover your midsection well. You can also choose an empire waist shirt that will help you to draw the attention away from your midsection. Shirts that reach below your waist are also a good option. For a balanced look, use a shirt that reaches the largest area of your hips. Another option is to choose a top with a lower neckline to shift the focus from the midsection to the top.
3. Light layers for shifting the focus
A waistcoat and a sleeveless tank is the best for covering your stomach and drawing the attention to your arms. A layered blouse of chiffon with a lightweight tank top is also ideal. Using a well fitting top that is lightweight is also beneficial for skimming the midsection.
4. Wear trousers for creating a balanced silhouette
For creating an even look between your upper and lower halves, choose wide-legged trousers. The wedge-capris are also a good choice to flaunt the slim looking ankles. Avoid using skinny trousers. But pairing it with a long tunic can help you to a certain extent.
5. Skirt to minimize the midsection
Wearing a skirt with full silhouette can help you to reduce the heavy midsection greatly. Pair with a slim-fit tunic to have an overall slim appearance. Skirts with high waistline can help you to camouflage your stomach and give a balanced look. Avoid wearing slim miniskirts. They may make you look heavier at the top.
6. Choose the right shoes
The type of shoes you wear can also contribute greatly to your looks. Find a perfect pair of shoes that continue the line of your legs. Try a strappy sandal with heel. If you have small calves wear the kitten heels for more comfort and looks. Chunkier shoes such as the wedges are also perfect for your body shape. Choosing heavy looking shoes are useful for balancing the upper part of your body.
Once you know the features of your body, it is easy to choose the clothes accordingly. You will have a clear idea about the features you want to highlight and those you need to hide. Choose appropriate dresses and maintain your style statement for every occasion.
