Chapati (Roti)

Ingredients :

Whole wheat  Flour     1 cup
Salt to taste
Vanaspati     1 tablespoon

Method  :

Add salt to flour and knead to a dough with water. Divide into four balls and roll out each, evenly in rounds. Heat ‘Tawa’ and place rolled-out round gently on the tawa. Cook slightly, then turn and cook well the other side. Gently press down the edges with a cloth and let the ‘Chapati’ bloat, remove when ‘Chapati’ is completely cooked. Smear a little vanaspati all over ‘chapati’. Keep. Do the same with other rolled out rounds. Serve hot.

MAKES: 4 chapaties
