Know When Your Boss is Happy With You

This article will help you identify the signs that your boss is pleased with your job performance and also reveal what to do when you need to impress your employer so you can get ahead at work.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Does your boss give you regular work reviews? Do they ever reward you for a job well done? Do they ever ask you for your help or opinion outside of your regular duties and responsibilities? If not, you may not be highly favored by your boss. When your employer favors you and goes out of their way to buy you lunch or give you a perk, then it is a signal that they value you and your position. Think about some of the ways you change the way your boss views you so you can transform into the ideal employee.

  2. Step 2

Even if your boss does not have the budget or power to give you a raise, they will still make sure you get the respect at work that you deserve. This can come through in various forms, but commonly they will reward your efforts with praise every opportunity. If they do not compliment you on a job well done then you are not in their good graces.

  3. Step 3

So, how do you get in their good graces? Try taking on extra work and volunteering for the projects that no one wants. They will be pleasantly surprised at the initiative and this is sure to go unnoticed.

  4. Step 4

Why not try dressing a bit more professionally at work? Take the extra time each morning to refine your look and pull yourself together. Image is everything and you should dress accordingly.

  5. Step 5

Stay positive, friendly and be a constant joy at work. When the office gets stressed and over-worked, and everyone else is complaining and mopping around, be the one and only person who remains positive and optimistic. This display will show that you are level-headed, stable and can handle your emotions. All great reasons for your boss to notice you and reward your efforts.
