Laura Lian is a ‘listed’ artist having sold in the primary market, ‘Christie’s’. Her collectors include many high profile personalities including multi-billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, Rachael Hunter, Sharon Osbourne, Dermot Desmond, and Lesley Clarke, wife of Nickie Clarke for example.
She was born in Cambridge England and spent her formative years in Toronto, Canada where she studied art. Laura came back to live in the UK in the 70’s and furthered her studies in art at Chelsea College of art. Laura has taught art in adult education in mainstream and special needs in London and in 1989 became a full time professional artists specializing in sculpture. Her work has taken her through many interesting commissions and competitions won in the public realm as well as private commissions.
Diversity is one of Laura Lian’s strengths, not staying with one theme but exploring everything from famous rock star portraits, parapets for bridges, gates in steel, fibre optics and her own personal work in bronze. Her work has been shown at The Royal Academy West of England, Bristol and she has been presented to the Princess Royal for her work on the Millennium Bridge in Melksham, Wiltshire.

Legende Celebrity Art Chairman Lord David Evans I had the enormous pleasure of meeting Bob and his wonderful wife Dorothy at their beautiful home in France last week. We talked about the old days in celebrity Hollywood and how everything seems to have changed, no longer are there the Legends that once existed!
Bob Willoughby was a friend and confident of the Hepburn’s including celebrating their babies first birthdays together at his house. “A rare human being,” he says, “whom I respected and loved” Bob took thousands of photographs of Audrey Hepburn over her career and we are delighted to have some of them for sale here at Legende Celebrity Art. Whilst visiting Bob he took the time to show us a number of amazing prints of just some of the stars he worked with operating his incredibly organised filing system. Hollywoood movie photographer Bob Willoughby named “The Man that virtually invented the photojournalistic motion picture still” by Popular Photography.
Legende Celebrity Art are delighted to be working with our friend Bob Willoughby the worlds leading Hollywood photographer of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Born in Los Angeles in 1927, Bob was the first ‘outside’ photographer for the film studios to be hired to get space for them in the magazines, starting in 1954 with Warner Brothers which created a 20 year relationship. Just some of the films that Bob worked on; The Man With The Golden Arm, Raintree County, Saint Joan, Bonjour Tristesse, Green Mansions, Can Can, The Notorious Lady, The Children’s Hour, I Could Go On Singing, Paris When It Sizzles, My Fair Lady, The Great Race, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Graduate, Rosemary’s Baby, The Lion in Winter, Goodbye Mr.Chips, Catch 22, They Shoot Horses Don’t They?
Bob Willoughby devised a number of technical innovations to get the photographs he needed. For example he financed the first successful sound blip of a still-camera, which is now common on most movie sets. Bob was the only photographer working on films at the time, to use radio-controlled cameras, allowing him unprecedented access for certain shots. He had made special brackets that held his still camera on or over the Panavision cameras.
Bob was presented with the Lucie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Still Photography for Motion Pictures, in New York 2004. His photographs are included in the collections of The National Portrait Gallery, Washington, DC, The National Portrait Gallery, London, The National Media Museum, Bradford, UK. The Bibliotheque Nationale de France, Paris. Musee de la Photographie, Charleroim Belgium. The Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences, Beverley Hills, CA, The Museum of Modern Art, Film Department, NYC, The Tate Gallery Collection, London, and The Musee de la Photographie et de I’Image, Nice, France.
