Created in 2000 during a PhD thesis at University of Savoie in France, Yawas is an extension for Firefox or Google Chrome to highlight web pages. (research papers are here) Your highlights are stored in Google Bookmarks, so you need a google account. After being logged in to Google, you can start highlighting: - Select a span of text (no line-breaks) - Right-click to show the context menu and select Yawas Highlight Highlights are stored inside Google Bookmarks. When you revisit pages you have highlighted, Yawas will automatically recreate the highlights you created. A little star on the bottom right of the Firefox window or top of the Google Chrome turns yellow when highlights are found for the current page. |
