I loaded the build onto a Belkin F7D8301 last night, and for the most part it worked well. I had both radios working simultaneously, and could connect properly when using WEP or no Security. I could not connect using WPA from a MacBook Pro (connection timeout on the Mac). I tried all 9 combinations of WPA/WPA2 Personal settings (WPA, WPA2, Mixed) with all encryption types (TKIP, AES, TKIP+AES), and no luck there.
However with security disabled (or WEP) it worked.
I also would like to help testing this build. There are some annoyances with the stock firmware (Bonjour Service not working).
Whats the best Method to load the Firmware? Does it work via WebIF or do I have to use TFTP? Are there some instructions on how to use TFTP with the device?
How stable is this build? Could it be used "productively"?
I can confirm that the latest build by eko work with wpa.
Successfully installed it using the cfe mini web server.
I am using a wpa2 key for both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz band.
There is one thing that I noticed.
I am getting only a connection at 144mbps with the stock firmware I get 300mbps. I tried 40Mhz channels and auto setting.
Is this a bug, or does the driver not support more than 144mbps?
I installed the newer one on my router. Mine is also only going at most 150mbps on either interface with my 5ghz/2.4ghz Netgear. Also the channel settings don't seem to do anything for me, it just defaults to the same channels. I did NOT reset to defaults when I installed this firmware. It works though as I'm typing this on my laptop now. Speed wise it's MUCH faster than the old firmware. The old firmware wouldn't go much above 18mbps now it maxes out the cable modem at 25mpbs.
and telnet 192.168.1.1 (use 2.4g wireless connection),run:
nvram set lan_ifnames='vlan2 eth1 eth2 eth3'
nvram set landevs='vlan1 wl0 wl1'
nvram commit
reboot
After reboot ,you will found ererything is ok,5g and 2.4g can be both support
I have tried to telnet into the router and am asked for a username and password. I have tried the router username and password that I inputed, and also root /admin and blank. Is there a specific username/password for telnet?
Thanks, Kent
P.S. I found my answer username: root password: pass
Hi,
this test build should support both radios on 4301 and 3301. Feedback welcome.
The Belkin Play (F7D4302) has the same wireless nic as the Belkin Max according to the supported hardware wiki page. Seeing as how you haven't had much feedback yet, I would be happy to test this on a Belkin Play (I own several) if it is indeed compatible.

Ty for the patch. It seems to work perfectly now. I applied it with my droid phone. Amazing what this phone can do. I even have a telnet client.
