Stayed for two nights. Beds were very comfortable. Location is excellent. We walked from CTA, to dinners, architectural boat tour, shopping. Took taxis to Sci & Tech museum, Navy Pier, Blue Man Gp. Concierge was very helpful. Booked our tkts for us. Hotel put a small fridge in the room when we requested it. Overall a very good expc. There is no way […] to escape the sirens since hotel is across the street from a hospital. If they'd update their windows, you'd hear a lot less. Didn't bother us, though the sirens do go all night. We had to take two elevators to get to our room which was odd and different but the room was clean and nice but being a four star hotel, I was expecting fancy. Overall we enjoyed our stay, area was nice and it was very close to the magnificent mile and tons of shopping and eateries.

The hotel is in a good location and staff are friendly and helpful. However, they did get our reservation (type of room booked) wrong but gave us a free breakfast as a compensation for this.

The hotel location is excellent, very close to all major shops on Michigan Ave. The staff was very cordious and respectful too. However, the rooms need a lot of improvements. In particular in my room, the bathroom sink is coming apart from the wall, I have pictures in anyone needs them to see what I am talking about. There is also a tube TV in there […] that the power button had to be pressed for more than five seconds to come on. the power button on the remote did not respond; channels and volume worked just fine. I have stayed at many Hyatts all over the country I am a member of their rewards program and I am sorry to say, given the high regards that I have for the brand Hyatt, this is the worse of them all. I believe this used to be the Wyndham, but Hyatt purchased recently giving 3 Hyatt Hotels in Chicago. This Hyatt is a smaller, boutique hotel with a dated, but formal and inviting lobby, and what looked like a nice restaurant. Would be good for couples or business travelers, but not much for kids. There were several weddings going on this weekend, but […] not too noisy. We had a noisy neighbor throwing a private and loud party next door, but I cannot blame that on the hotel staff. The staff was highly professional, room service was very fast, and the pay per view movies were plentiful in choices, but pricey (18.00), which I am finding more and more common in luxury level hotels. Great place, convenient to Michigan Avenue. While the hotel is quiet, it is across the street from a hospital so there is some siren noise. My only complaint is the $54 per night parking. I chose this hotel because of its location and presumed excellent quality/cost ratio. It turned out to be a big disappointment. The hotel was far away from a 4 stars standard. I really cannot picture anything that would make it a four star. I was given a room in which remnant of food from a previous guest were still in the fridge. Although I paid for […] three guests, we had bathroom comfort (towels, etc.) only for two. Electronic key cards were needed to operate the elevators: such a pity that they didn't work for most of the guests. I went up and down on the elevators multiple times before i was finally able to get out at the desired floor. When I pointed out the problem at the concierge, they told me it was my problem and not theirs. The AC wasn't working in my room. I didn't feel much difference than staying at a simple 2 star hotel. The hotel is very nice, but I found it odd that rooms did not have HD television and annoying that wi-fi was an additional cost. The hotel must be close to an emergency room or fire station. Heard sirens all night.

Who builds a hotel and doesn't supply the guests with parking. Thats like charging to use the toilet and then telling you that toilet paper cost extra. You can figure on spending an extra fourty bucks for parking. The other problem is that this hotel is across the street from the hospital. Ambulance sirens all night long. For the price paid and the length of our stay, this hotel was a little disappointing. The room was nice, but showed neglect of up keep and maintenance with peeling wall paper and crumbling plaster board at the water areas (sink / bathtub). Overall the room was clean and comfortable despite the fact that our room was missed completely by housekeeping […] services one day during our stay. The friendliness of the staff was extremely spotty and overall disappointing. A few staff members were very cordial, courteous and amiable, which was contrasted by several front staff members (registration and concierge) who never cracked a smile nor said a courteous word or greeting during the duration of the conversation. The curtness of these interactions leave you wondering why management allows such dismal customer service behavior?! Take note that the hotel is literally across the street from a major medical center Emergency Room. Thus be prepared for CONSTANT sirens at all hours of the day and night from ambulances trying to get through city traffic to access the facility. Even from the 16th (out of 17) floor, the walls / windows are not sound proofed to block out the siren wails. BTW, there is free WiFi in the hotel lobby but you'll have to pay to access WiFi from your hotel room. Read more

Hotel amenities-There was no microwave in the room, there was a box tv not a flat screen, there was an old wet washclothes hanging from the shower when we arrived, the fridge half way worked, I would not stay there again I expected better from the hyatt especially for the price.

Great Location, The room was booked foor 4 people and we had to ask for extra towels almost everyday. Coffee and tea was never stocked properly. We had to call housekeeping everyday to replenish the tea and cups. Breakfast at their restaurant took almost an hour to serve!!

To begin with very expensive parking and continue with very plain and ordinary room which is the quality of Holiday Inn. The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly but the condition of the hotel was old and outdated. The beds in our room had springs that creaked and the sides gave way when you sat or rolled over at night. CRT TV with poor quality picture. The front foyer of the hotel consisted of a set of old, dirty, uncomfortable couches against the front windows […] on the second floor. The bar area was the only other area to sit, not good for children, and was filled with the same old, uncomfortable furniture. The pool and workout area were very small but useable. No morning paper, no free internet in lobby, pain to connect each time. No area in the lobby/foyer to meet people and have a comfortable business talk. The hotel is very convenient to Northwest University and the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are well appointed and large. The lobby area is one floor above street level; a slight inconvenience, though the concierge desk is at street level. Amenities are on par with other Hyatt hotels though the restaurant was only fair.
