It was a mantra that I would hear repeated dozens of times over the course of a few months. Peter Lovis, owner of The Cheese Shop in Concord, Ma, has built a business based on the in-store experience, and people love to visit the cheese shop, browsing the gourmet goods and getting free nibbles of ...We’re continuing the Intuit Expert Webinar Series into March with free webinars featuring Ramon Ray, technology evangelist and editor of SmallBizTechnology.com, and John Jantsch, author of Duct Tape Marketing. Every year, millions of American families leave it untouched and on the table. I’m not talking about mom’s leftover meatloaf or brussel sprouts. I’m referring to billions of unclaimed dollars through the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a refundable federal income tax credit for low to moderate income working households. We hosted our first ever Love a Local Business live event in Sacramento, CA on March 12 and 13, and were so impressed with the energy and optimism of Sacramento business owners. More than a hundred small business owners came to our Midtown location to learn how to gain financial stability and grow their businesses. We also saw an outpouring of love from Sacramentans for their local businesses with more than 700 people logging nominations in our Love a Local Business Sacramento sweepstakes…

We opened the doors to our Love a Local Business Sacramento event in Midtown (at 1801 L Street, Suite 70), and we’re hearing a lot of love from local business owners for the people of Sacramento. It’s no wonder Sacramento business owners are head-over-heels for their customers and clients: Love a Local Business Sacramento has seen more than 530 nominations!
In March, five local businesses nominated on LoveALocalBusiness.com will share small business “grow grants” worth $50,000. But, we’ve gone one step further to make March the month for marketing your business by awarding a $100 Google AdWords grant to every entrepreneur who nominates their own business on LoveALocalBusiness.com.
If you’re like a lot of small business owners I’ve talked to since we rang in 2010, you probably sympathize with this statement: “Enough with the doom and gloom already. I don’t want to know how awful the economy is, I want to know how to make a profit anyway!”…
