Pollination
-
When pollen from the flower, comes in contact with the stigma, it fertilizes the ovules in the ovary of the flower which later become seeds.
Desiccation
-
After pollination, the flower dies and dries up and falls off, but sometimes remains completely or partially attached to the end of the ovary.
Seed Development
-
As the seeds develop the ovary swells producing a fruit. When the fruit ripens it harvested or dries up and disperses the seeds.
