Developmental Specialist II

We are seeking a full-time Developmental Specialist II (Special Education Teacher). This position is located in Oakland, and the hours are daylight. A bachelor’s degree in Education or Special Education and Pennsylvania teaching certificate in special education are required. A master’s degree in Education or Special Education and previous experience with students with special needs are preferred. Previous experience working in a treatment setting is desired. Act 33/34/73 clearances are also required.

You will provide daily instruction to patients on the unit. You will assess all patients, plan their lessons, monitor their progress, and communicate with their home school. In addition, you will communicate with the treatment team on a regular basis regarding each patient’s classroom performance and behavior.
