The prestigious computer scientist Steve Furber will be judging EEESoc's first cake competition.
"Bake a cake shaped like the internet."
The criteria will be deliciousness and creativity, the school will be providing tea and coffee and the winner will have their photo taken with Steve and be posted on our soon to be laun...ched website. Your cake's connection to the internet can be as tenuous as you fancy but Steve might show a particular preference to xkcd inspired creations....
After the judging we will all sit down and eat cake and coffee and discuss TCP/IP vs OSI-7
All are welcome to attend and if you think you are likely to bake a cake, drop me (EEESoc@manchester.ac.uk / Luke Taylor) a message so I have a rough idea of how many entries there will be.
Good luck!
