MyOrganicAcre Update November 22nd 2009

This is a section of the OrganicGarden newsletter with an update regarding
the “Launch” of MOA:

Launch could be by the end of November for Organic Acres! If so, the
first payout will be at the end of December. They are just waiting for
the attorneys to finish going over all the paperwork to set a firm
date for the launch. We will have 2-3 weeks ending before Christmas to
pay for our garden or membership to keep our matrix positions. Those
that do not upgrade will stay as a free member and earn only on one
level of direct referral sales, not down the five levels.

Try to visit the webinar to see the pictures of the farm. Since 1985,
is has been an organic farm growing rhododendrons that have been
shipped around the world. They developed several hybrid varieties.
With the economic downturn, sales have been dropping for the
rhododendrons so they knew it was time to implement the idea they had
in mind to change the farm to leased garden plots to grow vegetables.

There are several permanent greenhouses with steel supports and cement
base, heated cables under all the beds with most of them with roll up
sides to open them in the warm months. They are about the size of 2
football fields each. There is a huge propagation house to start the
seedlings that then continue to grow in the greenhouses until they are
set out in the gardens as strong plants. The greenhouses will be used
to grow herbs in winter.

There is an office building with a reception area and show room that
will be the retail General Store for locals to visit and shop at.
Upstairs is the the main office area to run the business. The large
warehouse located next to a 5 bay loading dock will be the wholesale
General Store.

There is an older house that be will renovated similar to a bed and
breakfast to house members that want to visit for a week or two and
work in the gardens in exchange for room and board for a working
holiday.

An aerial photo shows the layout of the farm and another one shows the
immediate area with I-5 and the railway very close by. Members that
know the area would probably be able to identify the farm from this
photo.

All these photos, that I’m sure will be posted in the Organic
Community when it opens if you can’t attend a webinar, show that
Organic Acres is well set up to be ready to ship our produce as soon
as it is ready to be picked.

Some products will carry the Organic Acres label. They have already
arranged to have organic coffees and teas with the Organic Acres
label! They are asking for suggestions of quality products to carry in
the General Store. If you have a product you produce in quantity,
contact Jerry at clubjava7@gmail.com or phone 503-727-2407 to discuss
it becoming a product in the General Store.

Great news for Canadians. A new member used to ship organic produce to
Canada so he is providing the info of what is required to ship produce
to Canada. So go ahead to develop a group in your area to have produce
shipped to a hub location to save on shipping charges!

Are you getting excited and impatient for the launch like I am?
