UK DROUGHT!
as it says on the tin.....a bad boy by the sound of things as well, no rest north south east or west, it seems to be the time as well when snidey fuckers are gettin shot of any old crap, the anthrax problem has recurred also, not in scotland this time either (not saying thats alright just that most of the anthrax cases were north of the border)
well imho the other shoe had to drop, what with the pakistan floods, altho the whole country has been hit i got the impression one of the worst affected places was nwfp - the north western frontier province - that has a notoriously permeable border with afghanistan, all kinds of dope guns and extremism go back and forth, including a big assed chunk of the uk dope supply, not only that there have been some big military style busts and the us government have let off some sort of poppy virus which has fucked up the yield in the first place, although some people are saying theres at least a two year stockpile, which i must admit i wouldnt doubt at all, this is just a damned good excuse to get shot of all the swagg and bump the prices up thoughts anyone? maybe well end up like our less fortunate brethren in rural parts of the us where ridiculously overpriced pharms are seen as a better option than stamped on to fuck unreliably sourced dope - thats fuckin that for me if that is the case, i couldnt tolerate that bullshit....when i see the much duplicated $80/$90/$100 for an 80ml oxycontin threads i shudder and think, fuck that man, they must be desperate beyond all belief.... |

Re: UK DROUGHT!
welcome to our world. so sorry bro. prob is, once dealers realize your desperation during this drought, expect a sharp decline in overall quality for the next few YEARS. not lying. no joke, and i have no joy in having to break it to you. black market econ sometimes blows. best of luck tho. thx god for yer 'done bro.

Re: UK DROUGHT!
Good luck to all ophile Britons... Hopefully it will end up being a false alarm, or at least not end up being too severe.
Dunno. Just wanted to ask though-- do you have any more info (news/websites/whatever) about the so called "US gov poppy virus" ? Just curious.. Cheers, at&t |

Re: UK DROUGHT!
there is a drought over on the isle right next to yours danny - in ireland everyone is saying there's a drought on
having said that i was able to score gear at least 3 times within the last few month no problem, but there's evidently a lot less dealers offering you gear on your way to the clinic than there was say about half a year ago I don't do gear regularly these days at all but i'd treat myself to a bag once a month or so and yeah, i can tell there's certainly a shortage of dealers hanging round the corners, but at the same time there's been a hell of a lot more of police busts recently so the whole scene is dodgy as fuck these days The headshops were closed down a few months ago now the coppers are trying to shut down everything else I think they're getting overambitious to be honest - the gear in whatever quantities is here to stay problem is - the demand is always there so even this drought is nothing new, as i remember talk of droughts however long i've been involved with this scene

Re: UK DROUGHT!
I just found out this dry up's (inter?)national. Contacted a few old mates from rehab & have been told it's not just us. People are selling 0.1g bags for a tenner. A pal got .23g for £15. The quality's poor & there are no weights to be had. It seems to be recovering here, though some have said this will go on until after Christmas. It's been crazy. Glad I'm on a script. Anyone know wtf's going on? How're people in Europe doing?
Is it really the ripple effect from the crop virus in Afghanistan plus the Pakistan floods? That's my guess. There have been a lot of raids lately too. I've never known anything like this in 7 years. 3, 4 days maximum previously. a girl told me there was a 4 week drought in 2000. I wasn't in the game. Benz |

This isn't true, unfortunately. A tiny number of people are prescribed diamorphine, I've never met one. There have been trials (RIOTT or Randomised Injecting Opioid Treatment Trial) where addicts who haven't been able to kick using other methods were prescribed supervised injections of diamorphine plus a dose of methadone to carry them overnight. The results were mixed. Some people still bought off the street. Imagine having to do every shot in a clinic or pharmacist's room? It hasn't been applied as policy & the current UK government is trying to get everyone abstinent. Methadone/subutex prescriptions are under threat at the moment here. Also, we don't have anything like the ammount of prescribed opioid painkillers you have in the US. They're used more in the hospital setting. Chronic pain patients are usually under medicated in my experience. Benz |

for the record ive been a junkie for over fifteen years and in some sort of treatment for at least twelve, so it would be pretty fair to say that methadone and subutex, and cold turkey, and rehab have ALL failed from my point of view....ive never been prescribed junk, i know junkies all over the country and ive only ever heard of one (1) ever getting a diamorphine script |

Re: UK DROUGHT!
The drought has definitely descended on my little town in the Midlands - everyone is running round like headless chickens at the mere sniff of some gear.
Last night someone caused a car accident. In this bloke's haste to be one of the first to the runner (lately even when you've pre ordered which is generally how deals are made round here, people are being served on a first come first serve basis. Anyway when this chap spotted the runner he slammed on his brakes and reversed into the car behind him. Nobody was hurt fortunately, but sensibly the runner melted into the darkness because the police were called anyway - result - another five pounds of credit wasted and another three hours of fucking around waiting......oh the joys of junkiehood! Also the quality has already gone down dramatically...........so why is my boyfriend out trying to score for us now? Cos we're bloody idiots - thats why. Defintely a good time to get off the gear. Also for the record - I don't know anyone with a diamorphine script either. Hardly anyone gets methadone amps now either - certainly not people just starting treatment.
