Chance the title. Way misleading seeing as this isnt a "How to Record a Screencast" video. Its a "How to Record a Screencast for the Lockergnome channel"
does anyone know a program for ubuntu like manycam where i can change my webcam to desktop so when im on blogtv or ustream and other i can show my desktop and not a desktop recorder unless it does both

I also thought it was a how-to (*sic*). Anyways, if you're looking for a list of software for screencating, go check this page on wikipedia: "Comparison_of_screencasting_software".
@lockergnome I don't want to know how to get my screencast approved for your channel if I don't already know how to make a screencast, which I don't. Rename your video. It is misleading. That is annoying.
@Awesomeman552 If someone records a high-quality screencast about Linux - something others will want to learn/watch - then it would absolutely go on the channel.
That depends too if they are using a WMV codec or just the container. As a container, it doesn't mean much. I've seen some 1080P and 1440x1080 WMV files that are like 600-700MB, and for 2 hours that is pretty small and comparable. It also depends what codec settings they pick too. They probably picked bad settings. I can make a MP4 10min video 1200-1600MB lol.
@lockergnome I want to start making lets plays, And i filmed and it was around 2gb, Do you have any suggestions for filming software? I currently use FRAPS
@lockergnome I learned two rather important things from this video. One: I need to put the Lockergnome logo in the video. Two: I need to send the videos to you, not upload to YouTube.
Change the misleading title.

is doing a tutorial screencast excepted I do tutorials on sony vegas, final cut, fl studio & logic studio and also sometime photoshop.
well chris DOES NOT RECORD IN HD
The title is a bit misleading.
Chris is fake and gay. Watch some of his videos from 2007, he oozes ignorance.
@Hax0rPr0n
fake? gay? not at all...
what are the emails i have to send the video to?
Currently doing a giveaway on my channel why not check it out

I like wmv the best. Very small files and good quality. One of my videos on youtube was only 100MB and its 10 min long.
I also thought it was a how-to (*sic*). Anyways, if you're looking for a list of software for screencating, go check this page on wikipedia: "Comparison_of_screencasting_software".
mmm.... i may actually give this a try

Thanks for all the positive comments, everyone. :)
WeTransfer is better then Filemail in my opinion.
Hey chris if I make a Linux screen cast would that be okay? I want to do one on gaming with Ubuntu.
@lockergnome I've only seen screencasts on Windows and OS X, are you accepting Linux screencasts?
@Awesomeman552 If someone records a high-quality screencast about Linux - something others will want to learn/watch - then it would absolutely go on the channel.
WMV's are tiny but have terrible quality
@8thWeekday Tiny? Not so. One screencaster sent a 4 min video in WMV format the other day. It was 241MB. :)
@lockergnome

What software do you use to actually record your screen?
@DHFrame Camtasia
I second TheMatt7000
Nice job Dylan!!! :)
@TheMatt7000 Thank you, good sir.
A screencast on how to screencast. How nice.
@cusinndzl
Another is a website on how to make a website. :3
@cusinndzl If it weren't necessary we wouldn't have asked Dylan to do it. :)
@lockergnome I learned two rather important things from this video. One: I need to put the Lockergnome logo in the video. Two: I need to send the videos to you, not upload to YouTube.
@cusinndzl Well then you're two steps closer to having a screencast featured on our channel - should you create one. :)
@lockergnome υοθ σθψκ βυ τηε δαυ!
