RCMP Red Deer City Drug Investigation: 9 Charged

As a result of a week long drug investigation conducted by the Red Deer City RCMP Street Team and Organized Crime sections; 9 people have been charged with Cocaine Trafficking. The week long investigation was conducted with the assistance of ALERT’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit. The investigation targeted street level drug traffickers throughout the City of Red Deer, focused primarily on the Downtown Core of Red Deer.

20 year old Trent Swampy of Red Deer has been charged with:

● One count of Cocaine Trafficking

Swampy was remanded in custody, and pleaded guilty at first appearance and received one year in jail.

24 year old Anthony Sharp of Red Deer has been charged with:

● One count of Cocaine Trafficking

Sharp was remanded in custody to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on January 5, 2012.

28 year old Przemyslav Trawinski of Red Deer has been charged with: ● two counts cocaine trafficking ● one count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime Trawinski was released to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on January 5, 2012.

34 year old Peter Rauch of Red Deer has been charged with:

● two counts cocaine trafficking

Rauch was released to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on January 12, 2012.

19 year old Micheal Turnbull of Red Deer has been charged with:

● two counts of cocaine trafficking

Turnbull was remanded in custody to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on January 5, 2012.

50 year old Cheryl Broderick of Red Deer has been charged with: ● One count of cocaine Trafficking

A Warrant for Broderick’s arrest has been obtained

19 year old Patrick Smith of Red Deer has been charged with:

● two counts of cocaine trafficking

A Warrant for Smith’s arrest has been obtained
