A Random Act Of Kindness That Made For A Very Special Birthday
Random acts of kindness often shock and awe recipients. KOMU's Dhomonique Ricks reports on one woman in Columbia, Missouri, who was shocked when she received a very special birthday present from a client during Random Acts of Kindness month.
Bobby Johnson, a hairdresser in Columbia, Missouri, received her random act of kindness on her birthday last week. The surprise gift? A check for $5,000.
The act came from a woman who gets her hair cut at Johnson's salon. The woman, who remains unnamed, is a breast cancer survivor. She says Johnson was there for emotional and spiritual support. Because of that, she picked Johnson to reward.
Johnson was so taken aback by the check that she initially thought it was a mistake. When she called the woman, she found out that it wasn't. Still in shock, Johnson is determined to pay it forward, passing on the spirit of giving and random acts of kindness. While she doesn't know what she is going to do, "she says they'll be pretty nice."
