Hi !
I have problem with dir-615 ver: D4.
I flashed it.
But I can´t enter the settings of dd-wrt firmware on 192.168.1.1
This is how did I flashed it:
I did 30/30/30 reset, then upload new firmware on 192.168.0.1(I set the IP to static 192.168.0.2).
After that I connected router dir-615 and modem.
Then I changed to obtain IP address automatically.
And then I can connect to internet, but wireless don´t work and I can´t enter the router dd-wrt settings.
After I reconnect the power cable(switch off/on) I can´t connect to internet, but wireless works.
Does anybody know what is the problem ?
Thanks in advance and don´t be angry if I posted in wrong topic.

Just for the record, I was able to install DD-WRT on a D-Link DIR-615 C1 from a Macbook laptop running Mac OS
The only thing that tripped me up was that most of the previous posts I read recommended Firefox, I kept getting a message that the wrong file was being uploaded until I used Safari (which is built into the Mac OS) Here are the steps I used to flash the DIR-615 C1 from a mac:
1) connect to DIR-615 C1 using an Ethernet cable then turn Airport OFF on the mac
2) Revert the D-Link DIR-615 C1 back to 3.10NA firmware which I downloaded from here: http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DIR-615&rev=DIR-615_revC I also downloaded 3.11NA and 3.13NA firmware just in case I needed them later if I botched up my internet connection.
5) Edit dir615c1-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin file with the free Mac hex editor. Go to the end of the file and add two zeros 0x30 before AP81-AR9130-RT-070614-02 I added the two zeros on the line above. The AP81-AR9130-RT-070614-02 was already there so I just changed the 0x0 to 0x30 which is zero. for the two spots directly in front of
AP81-AR9130-RT-070614-0 which made it 00AP81-AR9130-RT-070614-0 save this file to the Mac. You will have to check the box that I think says enable editing.
6) Tried unsuccessfully to upload the edited dir615c1-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin file a half dozen times using Firefox. It kept complaining that I was trying to install the wrong firmware file so I tried Safari, but the Captcha image generator would not display correctly on Safari or Chrome for the MAC, but it would display the Captha if I used Firefox. I logged into the dir-615 at http://192.168.0.1 using Firefox, and disabled the Captcha image generation, then logged into the Dir-615 using Safari, then tried the firmware upload of the edited dir615c1-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin file from Safari and this time there was no error and it worked. I left it alone for 4 minutes and it completed just fine.
7) Log into the DIR-615 C1 which now is running DD-WRT using http://192.168.1.1 picked a user name and password and then setup WPA2 personal security with TKIP on the wireless side and I am now typing this using my wireless connection thru the DIR-615 C1
Sorry for the lengthy instructions but I wasted a couple hours on firefox issue and other issues on the mac so this post will save someone some time.

just flashed 2 Dlink Dir-615 rev. e3
put them in recovery mode (holding down reset while powering up until the power light blinks)
went to 192.168.0.1 and uploaded the firmware from the router database.
had some browser trouble, worked best with explorer and had to tell my Win 7 machine what type of network i was connection to.

FYI
Required a wireless link to xbox and dvd player in other room which was previously in the same room as the computers and wireless/wired DGL4500. Determined I needed a Client Bridge. Punks at store said I could do it with this router. As I found out after a couple days of trying, not with standard D-Link firmware. I had done this with a wired router (DI-604) previously.
I then successfully flashed the DIR615 rev C1, 3.12na, with the latest build of dd-wrt dated 20110217 labeled r16214 after performing the following.
The file trailer was correct, that is: AP81-AR9130-RT-070614-02, except the two zeros are missing at the beginning. Added the two zeros.
After a number of failures with this file I flashed the router to 3.10na as recommended in other posts. Still no luck. 26oz bottle of Tequila sitting on the counter was looking very nice at this time.
Through the Tequila haze I observed that the file length was 0x00373017 when the original .bin files from D-Link were 0x003b001a in length. Added null (00) to make up the necessary file length using the hexeditor Neo. Flash succeeded. In retrospect I think it was the file length that was the cause of the problem not the rev 3.12na. I used the D-Link interface to flash, performed a hard reset 30/30/30 before and after the flash, with a power cycle after the reset, as well as reading copious forum posts and instructions/warnings on the dd-wrt site.
Setup as Client Bridge with upnp enabled for xbox 360. Also connected to Blue Ray DVD player. Connected effortlessly with D-Link DGL4500 with, N, WPA2 AES encryption, 20MHz bandwidth, power level set to 10dbm. I will likely bump up the power some as the DGL4500 sees this as only 60-70% signal.
No problems to speak of yet other than once I set the name of the router the first time I could not go back and change it. I suspect I will have to reset the dd-wrt to do this. But I doubt I will bother as it is of no consequence to anything. Not sure what the rate is but both the XBox and the DVD player downloaded updates very quickly and without incident, so I'm happy.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for a nice piece of firmware.
If I find myself in the pink I will send some your way.

I have used the Wiki and the youtube video to configure my 615e3 into client bridge mode after flashing dd-wrt v24 preSP2 Build 15778, but there is no "Repeater Bridge" option listed in the Physical Interface Section of the Wireless>Basic Settings page. Is there another bin file I should use?
I finally had enough of D-Link's crappy firmware. My iPad and Barnes & Noble Color Nook would disconnect intermittently. My Google Chrome would only load pages half way.
The DD-WRT firmware seems to have solved these issues. Never buying D-Link again.
I posted this in SugarKang's thread but I thought this might get more traffic.
I have a DIR615RevC1. I am able to connect and get back DNS servers from my DSL provider (PRIMUS). My clients get back IPs from the router and seem to be happy.
The problem is I get to access to the internet. I see some WAN traffic when requesting pages, so it looks like it has problems getting back onto the LAN.
Any ideas? I've played around with some settings, but I'd much rather know some good debugging steps (via telnet?, I'm a linux beginner, I know a bit)
