A woman has been charged with the murder of her estranged husband who was found bludgeoned to death at his home.

The body of Richard Challen, 61, was found at the property in Claygate on Sunday. He had severe head injuries.

Surrey Police said Sally Challen, 56, of Coverts Road, Claygate, had been charged with his murder.

Mrs Challen is due to appear at Staines Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. She was arrested on Sunday at Beachy Head, Sussex, by police officers.
