I posted this in SugarKang's thread but I thought this might get more traffic.

I have a DIR615RevC1. I am able to connect and get back DNS servers from my DSL provider (PRIMUS). My clients get back IPs from the router and seem to be happy.

The problem is I get to access to the internet. I see some WAN traffic when requesting pages, so it looks like it has problems getting back onto the LAN.

Any ideas? I've played around with some settings, but I'd much rather know some good debugging steps (via telnet?, I'm a linux beginner, I know a bit)

Thanks,

Mike

i am in a diff situation, im doing client bridge, and it seems to connect to my other ddwrt as far as seeing it in the wireless (status) tab, but I get no connection no ping no nothing... :/

the dir-615 using the latest ddwrt firmware but my other routers are using 13577M NEWD Eko on my Netgear WNDR3300, and my Linksys WRT350N is using revision 13064

does anyone have a clue why I cant get client bridge mode to work on this dir-615 E3, it shows it connects as far as status, strength of signal etc... but I get no ping nothing, I have fallowed the wiki guides and have done it to other routers (the netgear 3300's one is connecting as client bridge with one of the radio's and the other radio is acting as AP)

I need to know what I might be missing :/

Hello, what revision of dd-wrt is most stable for DIR-615 E4? I do not need options and features, just stability and speed!
Best regards!

I have this router with E3 F/W 5.1

I am unclear what editing the hex file requires
and where do I find the info to know what changes
I am making.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks
Ken

Hi guys, could you explain further what I need to do with my D-Link 615 router?

I have the following:-
HW D4
FW 1.00VG

Can anyone suggest how exactly I edit the hex file or if possible provide me with a correctly edited one for my device?

The following link states "[For H/W D2 F/W 1.00VG skip steps 2-3 below, I found downloading "dlink-dir615d-factory-webflash.bin" 2010-08-09 directly worked fine AFTER restoring the device to the manufacture defaults (using the web interface maintenance -> reset to factory settings)]
"
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/DIR-615C

If mine is a D4 would it be the same as D2 in regards to this?

Kind thanks

Hey kids,

Got my DIR-615-C1 up to build 16785 now and it's working nicely as a client bridge... except that after a while (haven't determined exactly how long yet) it just seems to stop responding completely, requiring a power cycle even to connect to it via LAN.

Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions what I could tweak that might help?

Thanks!

I post it in separate topic, but have no answer there. Can anybody help with this snag?

Hello! I change my firmware to latest dd-wrt.And setup the l2tp access (set login - pass - vpn server), turn off firewall. But I can't connect to internet. The router get IP, GATE and mask (i see it status tab), but in status->WAN it is Disconnected and when I press connect, it's do nothing. After it I make 30-30-30 and setup router again, but it has no result. I enter via telnet and make ifconfig dump.

What logs I need to see to understand the reason of problem? Or .conf files. Thanks.

Hi,

I just buy a DIR-615, and the revision is H1 and software is 8.0.

Do I have a chance to put DD-WRT on it ?

Which revision should I use to patch it if working ?

Thanks

RX Antenna Chains 1+2
Ap isolation disable
Sensitivity Range 2000

I have the EXACT same problem of wireless radio stopping at some random time (could be up to 3 days, or even 1 week, or even 1 hour before it stops). I have to reboot the router to get wifi back.

Firmware Version: E3
