Olmert: Gaza operation may last 'for some time'

Israeli jets continued to pound Hamas targets in Gaza and Hamas militants launched more rockets into Israel today, as the number of people killed in the past day in Gaza rose to at least 277. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said the operation "is liable to continue for some time, perhaps more than can be foreseen at the present time." full story
