She was employed at Westview Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a member of Bryan Neck Baptist Church in Richmond Hill, GA She was preceded in death by her parents; Horce Blige, Sr. and Rosemary Smalls Blige, brothers; John Blige, Sr., Horace Blige, Jr., Henry Blige, Ricy Blige. SAVANNAH - Robert L. Fears, Sr., 94, died Saturday, July 25, 2009, at Savannah Square. The native and lifelong resident of Savannah was raised at Bethesda Home for Boys and at the time of his death was the oldest surviving Bethesda Boy. Mr. Fears was a member of Calvary of Savannah and retired as an engineer with Seaboard Coastline Railroad. Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Fears, Sr. and his wife, Jennifer, of San Antonio, TX and Donnie Fears of Savannah; a daughter, Sharon Daniel and her husband, Noel, of Savannah; and two granddaughters, Sherri Oliver and Melissa Daniel, both of Savannah. Also surviving is a daughter, Pamela Duncan, of Gadsden, AL. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. NAPLES, FL - Rory Jenkins, aged 24, passed away on July 21, 2009 in Naples, Florida. Rory was born on April 30, 1985 and spent his childhood in Barrington Hills, IL. After graduating from high school, Rory enlisted in the United States Army and completed his basic training at Fort Benning, GA. Soon after his graduation, he was sent to serve his country in B Company in Iraq and distinguished himself both as an infantryman and a Bradley tank operator. He was a proud and dedicated soldier and was honorably discharged from the Army on June 16, 2009 from Fort Stewart, GA. He planned to attend Bay State College in Boston, MA. Rory was a bright and gregarious young man and will be dearly missed by many. Rory is preceded in death by his mother, Sally Van Ornum Jenkins and is survived by his father, Robert C. Jenkins of Sao Paulo, Brazil; his sister, Jasmin Anne Jenkins of New York City; and his fiancŽe Silvia Ponce of Boston, MA. Other surviving family members are his maternal grandparents, Barbara and Jim Van Ornum, of Billings, MT and his paternal grandmother, Sarah Bogan Jenkins, of Glenview IL; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Melanie S. Zueger -
 
SAVANNAH - Melanie Senn Zueger, 48, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of Kenneth George Zueger, died Friday morning, July 24, 2009, at Candler Hospital. Born in Newberry, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Frank Forrest Senn and Mary Alice Gruber Senn. Melanie was a member of Smyrna Presbyterian Church in Newberry. She was a graduate of Bismarck Junior College with a degree in computer science and the Medical University of South Carolina School of Medicine with a degree in occupational therapy. Melanie was a licensed and registered occupational therapist in Georgia and South Carolina and was currently with Heritage Park of Savannah. Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Kenneth George Zueger of Savannah, Georgia, her parents, Frank and Mary Alice Senn of Newberry, South Carolina; her step-son, Nick Zueger and his wife, Jill, of Columbia, South Carolina; two step-grandchildren, Will and Caroline, and her two dogs whom she dearly loved, Kilo and Zulu. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Sunday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 o'clock Monday in Smyrna Presbyterian Church, Newberry. The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon in Smyrna Presbyterian Church conducted by The Reverend Scott E. Hill. Interment will be in Smyrna Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
