The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega is preparing women to lead in their communities, work places, homes, and in Chi Omega.
The Nancy Walton Laurie Leadership Institute of Chi Omega is a distinguished program designed to engage alumnae and collegiate members in leadership training that is both insightful and inspiring. Through this training, we empower our members to explore and learn steps that result in extensive personal growth. Our goal is to develop professionals who in turn will share their knowledge and skills with others on their campuses and in their communities.
The Laurie Leadership Institute, supported by a grant from the Chi Omega Foundation, provides educational sessions on a variety of topics. The current educational modules focus on effective strategies in such areas as decision-making, conflict resolution, facilitation, life balance, values and ethics, and the 4 Cs of leadership.
Chi Omega offers The Laurie Leadership Institute training in a variety of ways including a Flagship weekend at the Executive Headquarters and leadership programming at national meetings. Select collegiate and alumnae chapters have the opportunity to experience abbreviated versions of these workshops through regional, chapter, and even all-Panhellenic sessions.
The 2014 Flagship Session will be held February 21-23 at the Executive Headquarters. Flagship applications can be completed online and are due December 10th.
