By Michael Sillup

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Martina Hingis, winner of five Grand Slam tennis championships, said she tested positive for cocaine at this year's Wimbledon tournament and denied using the drug, Reuters reported.

Hingis also announced her retirement at a news conference in Zurich today. Formerly No. 1 in the world, the 27-year-old Swiss is ranked 19th.

She lost to Laura Granville of the U.S. 6-4, 6-2 in the third round at Wimbledon this year.
