Vice President, Product Management
MyWire syndicates high quality content from
hundreds of publishers around the world. MyWire’s proprietary technology is designed to provide consumers a complete reach across genres (news, science, entertainment and the arts), across formats (articles, ), and across pay types (free and paid). MyWire has three business groups. MyWire.com is a consumer site which hosts and links to our syndicated content. The Publishing Platform facilitates the creation of image-rich digital media. The Content Network displays current, relevant abstracts on third-party websites and drives low cost, targeted traffic to publishers.
MyWire is currently seeking a leader for its Product Management division. As a member of the executive management team, this position reports to the CEO, Louis Borders (founder of Borders Books & Music and Webvan). For additional information on MyWire and its services, please go to:

I. Directly responsible for all product management functions including:
A. Product Strategy
• Develop the overall product roadmap.
B. Product Development
• Drive the delivery of requirement documents, user experience and
messaging with a feedback system.
• Work closely with the publishing, development and operations
teams, and assess tradeoffs and risks for deliverables.
C. Product Marketing
• Develop product positioning, market offering, and pricing.
• Drive usability tracking.
• Ensure competitiveness of offerings by developing and driving
systematic competitive analysis and response programs.
II. Bring best practices and professional management to product management disciplines to ensure predictability, market relevance, and quality of MyWire’s products.
Qualifications:
• 10 to 15 years experience spanning product management, product strategy and/or product marketing functions.
• Demonstrated track record of launching and scaling online products at a business with multiple product lines in a growing, fast paced environment. Must understand how to expand a suite of product offerings and/or re-positioning current products to better address current user demands.
• Demonstrated success serving as a usability advocate.
• Proven leader with past success developing product management teams with strong processes and methodologies.
• Must have Agile or Scrum methodology experience.
• Successful “start up” experience in working both as an individual contributor and manager.
• Experience in consumer-oriented software service required.
• Bachelor’s degree required. MSCS or MBA preferred.
