Acura MDX 3.5L 4dr FWD

The Acura MDX offers luxury, outstanding V6 power, standard seven-passenger seating and Acura's exclusive Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system. The MDX enters its third generation in 2014.

The MDX is now offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations. Both are powered by a new 290-hp 3.5-liter direct fuel injected V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM); VCM helps improve fuel efficiency by operating on one bank of three cylinders when less engine power is required. It is mated to a re-engineered six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and paddle shifters. An Integrated Dynamics System (IDS), Agile Handling Assist and Amplitude-Reactive Dampers enhance ride and handling characteristics. Every MDX is outfitted with a power moonroof, power tailgate, 18-inch aluminum wheels and "Jewel Eye" LED headlights; interior comforts include heated front seats, leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, passive entry/start, satellite radio and a USB port, along with the next-generation AcuraLink system featuring HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity/audio streaming and "Aha" compatibility for smartphones. For 2014, two premium amenities packages are available: the Technology Package adds a voice-activated navigation system with AcuraLink Real-Time Traffic, upgraded audio with HD radio and 16 gigabytes of hard drive media storage, and 19-inch aluminum wheels; the Advance Package with Entertainment Package includes the Technology package content, as well as ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and an Ultra-Wide Rear Entertainment System (RES) with DVD player and 16.2-inch color display. Standard safety-enhancing features include anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with traction control and a multi-view rear parking assist camera, along with front and front side-impact airbags, a driver knee airbag, and overhead curtain airbags for all three rows. The Technology package adds a Blind Spot Information (BSI) system, Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), while the Advance package also includes front and rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with low-speed follow, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) with heads-up warning and a Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS).

For 2014, the Acura MDX is completely redeveloped from the ground up, with a new powertrain, fresh styling, expanded standard equipment and advanced technologies, and available front-wheel drive.
