Thumbs down Walmart-AD Match or Coupons, Not both?

I went to Walmart to ad match the Farmland bacon for 1.99. I was told that they would either ad match or use the coupon, not both. This was the first I have ever heard of this and just put me over the top. My last 3 experiences at Walmart using coupons have not been pleasant. So, I told them that if Walmart did not want the business, that was fine and left my bags of items there. I have sent an email to corporate inquiring about this. I'll let you know what I find out.

This was at Walmart in Coolidge, AZ. Luckily, most of you don't have to shop there!

I submitted a comment explaining what happened on their website. And, I also called 1-800 WALMART as you suggested. The did not find anything in their policies stating that a coupon could not be used while ad matching. They are supposed to have someone call me within 3-4 days to confirm.

I shop there only when I know I am not going into the gilbert/chandler/mesa area (bad experiences in CG as well) because I extremely dislike the coolidge store. No cashier is on the same page at that store and the manager Jason Lee has never been to pleasant to me or my family. I've decided that if I have to go, I'll go at night, preferably after 10pm because the cashiers on duty are a little more laid back imo.

Interesting...the same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I was trying to price match on hot dogs and use a coupon. Unfortunately they told me the same thing. I bought the rest of my items but passed on the hot dogs. Oh well...you win some you lose some.

They told me the same thing at the 75th Ave and Lower Buckeye about a couple years ago and I even called the manager over and he said the same thing. So I hardly ever shop at walmart anymore.

EXACTLY why I don't shop at WalMart!! Not to mention, you probably had to stand in line for 25 minutes in one of the two lanes that were open, only to find out that some couponing policy has changed.

Default walmart coupon /ad match

I shop the showlow walmart supercenter and i haven't had a coupon or ad matching problem. The farmland bacon, they just said they couldn't give me the 2.00 off but would give me 1.99. Free is free. They do call a manage over when ive used 30 + coupons. I must be one luck lady. Ive had more problems at my safeways (x2) then at walmart. Now that ive said that watch ill have problems

So, I ended up recieving a phone call from the store Manager in Coolidge. She apologized to me for the information that I was given. They DO accept coupons in conjunction with ad matching. Imagine that?
She had no idea why the employees were under that assumption but told me that she would be having a meeting with them to clear up the matter.

I told her that if I have any further problems at that store, I will personally ask for her.

I have not been back yet but plan to go soon just to try it out! I'll let you know how it goes.
