Although I change the time and date, as soon as I click on publish, the blog entry is posted straight away and not saved until the intended time/day. Any help is appreciated.

Edit the blog entry and SAVE AS DRAFT.
That unpublishes it, so you can change the date/time to the future and press publish again.
NOW it will wait until the new time to publish.

If you skip the save as draft step it will remain published.

Thanks, I followed your steps and it didn't change anything. I dated it the 18 and it posted straight away with todays date.

With TODAY'S date? Interesting.

You did this (forgive me if it's obvious) by clicking Scheduled at under Post Options and typing 18/12/09 in the box?

When you select Save as Draft and then you look at your blog, the post is not there anymore, right?

And when you type publish it says "your post has been published" not "your post will be published on ..." right?

Hi ,

I think you will have to start over as blogger  don’t re schedule posts that are already published. So as you have had the post appear on your blog it now wont be re-scheduled when you change the date.

Basically you have to get it right firat time,it aint too bad though...

Just copy the full content of the post - then start a new post - Paste in the full content - set the scheduled date you want and publish you can delete the original.

Paul.

Ahh! It doesn't say "scheduled at"  it just has the time and date box.

Hi Paul, I made 3 posts at the same time which are all sitting as drafts as I couldn't post date them. Would I have to do the whole lot again? When I hit save as draft, it saves as draft, but if I post date then save and then edit and then publish, OR if I post date and publish it just publishes it with today's date.
Can try copy and pasting it and trying again.

You must be still using the old editor. The draft-undraft trick used to work with it, and it still works for me with the new editor, but it's possible that it has changed for the old one.

Try Paul's suggestion.

Yep. Upgrade to the new editor with the radio button near the bottom of the Settings - Basic tab.

The answers sound okay, but that last question is unanswerable until I try the suggestions. Thanks! jmontemayor
