We
have developed a disruptive and innovative technology for the online video marketplace. We are currently looking for a VP/ Sr. Director, Product Development - Video to lead a team of talented software development, QA engineers and documentation professionals engaged in the development of best of class video-enhancement tools for our Video products, from Consumer to High End markets. In this role, you’ll be driving product development to successful completion while working closely with Product Management to influence priorities. You’ll also partner with our Customer Success team to resolve complex customer problems and offer an exceptional customer experience.
This is a start up position and can be part time initially. Company has a Global scope, with teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Position requires understanding of market facing requirements.
Responsibilities
As part of the core Product team, work with the Technical Product Management and customers and other engineering teams and to establish product & business objectives and priorities
Determine team assignments and resource allocation to meet product development milestones
Provide oversight and monitoring of market requirements and product development tasks and progress
Foster a motivating and challenging environment to facilitate creativity and productivity within the team to achieve high-quality product releases in a timely fashion
Champion the launch of the Product Development team and constantly reinforce team behaviors towards a true learning organization.
Mentor, coach and develop staff members to develop a healthy talent pool.
Requirements:
Full understanding of the online video products and business models – experience in product development and complimentary online resources is critical
Experience in launching a Version 1.0 product in a complex environment
Proven track record of successfully releasing software products
Experience in the Video Player/Codec , Video server or video editing industry
Experience with C++, C#, Apple and Windows .Net,
Experience with WPF, Video Technologies, MPEG-2, or H264 is a plus
BS in Computer Science or equivalent
15+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with at least 7 years experience in Management roles of increased scope and responsibility
