Bojan Vuckovic is wanted in connection with a robbery.

A suspected member of the Pink Panthers international jewel thief ring has been arrested by police in Montenegro, the international police organization Interpol said Tuesday.

Bojan Vuckovic, a 24-year-old Serb, was arrested as he tried to cross the border between Montenegro and Serbia, according to an Interpol statement.

Vuckovic is wanted by Austrian police in connection with the robbery of a Vienna jewelry store in 2008.

Interpol said the Pink Panthers gang is suspected in the heists of jewelry worth more than 250 million euros ($327 million) in the past 10 years. Authorities hope the arrest of Vuckovic will lead them to other suspected members of the gang, which Interpol has been targeting since it set up Project Pink Panthers in 2007.

Others with suspected links to the gang have been arrested in Cyprus, Monaco and France, Interpol said.

@Mike,
Latin Kings are not American you illiterate idiot. Keyword there would be latin. And you can name people from every society that have had negative effects. That's human nature, it has nothing to do with any one ethnicity of people or what country they're from. Dave is obviously uneducated, but don't make yourself look stupid trying to respond to his childish comments.

Basing an entire country on one person or a few persons actions is ignorant(unless its a leader) However, You hear more about the American problems because we(Americans) love to stick our noses in others business. So when we go through a bunch of crap then the rest of the world takes their shots. Same goes for the role reversal. What really amazes me out of all this...is the guy looks terrible for what a jewel thief should look like (I'm expecting fancy clothes, more stylish haircut, and a look-alike Pierce Brosnan all mixed together) but hey! How else to stay under the radar

i don't think that reacting to someone's ignorant statement with a bunch of ignorant name calling and re-casting of that statement onto other groups of people including americans at large for the actions of a few just like he did with eastern europeans. the fact is most people in all countries try to live their lives like anyone else, just getting by and getting on. there are bad apples and misguided public agendas in every country

This is not a forum. However, with freedom of speech, even an ignorant off-the-cuff remark got us all thinking, and I guess I can see SOME positive in that, Dave. I suspect that everyone who's read this so far had the first impression after reading Dave's comment...yeah, I can see that. But then, after thinking for, oh, I dunno, 3 nanoseconds, most of us would agree that a few bad apples can make the general population look, well, bad.
Let's examine Eastern Europeans...I mean, almost every action movies made nowadays portray them as fallen communist special forces mercenaries...so everyone elsewhere, not knowing EE's, thinks...."ok, they're all criminals". That's a very ignorant generalization, as most people have pointed out to Dave.
One could also assume, we Americans are the rudest, most ignorant, laziest class of 2-leggers to hit mother Earth. Yep. I see it every day. However, I don't lump ALL Americans in that category, Neither should all of you. Neither should we think all Americans like Obama, Bush, Limbaugh, or oil spills. That reply was also ignorant, and off the cuff.
However, examine this: All of this got us talking, got us thinking, got us riled up, at the very least. Interesting, no?
Oh yeah...by the way...he is a Klingon, I'm sure of it. I mean...don't the bangs give it away?

So will, you consider yourself to be a member of the "intelligent part of the population of the world."? I don't think that your little diatribe has aided your case for inclusion in this group. I'm afraid as a member of this segment of the population I'll have to suggest that you abide by your own advice and re-read your bit of vitriolic nonsense before you post it.
To the rest of the intelligent part of the population of the world, I suggest that we vote will out; assuming he was ever in.

I read about the exploits of the Pink Panther ring. At the end of the article, the conclusion direly predicts that when one member is napped by the law, another one steps in to take its place. I'm glad that law enforcement scores one.

By the way, why does it have to be a 'race' thing.? Crime happened everywhere and respects no national boundaries. Hurling insults and name calling does not make the subject matter more intense; it became personal and serves as a distraction because the foucs has nothing to do with the news piece anymore.

Thanks for the comment, but you rebuked nothing. Those Latin Kings that I'm speaking of do reside and live in this country. I'm pretty sure that a majority of those Latin Kings are American Citizens born and raised in the USA. If that doesn't make you "American" then I'm not sure what does? Isn't that the idea behind America? Its the melting pot of the world Jay. If you want to infer that youre only American based upon your skin color then you're seriously off the topic. Thats called racism. I only pointed out "Americans". Yes, everything I mentioned originated in America.

Yes, I am referring to the oil spill. Lets argue semantics. We are all aware that BP stands for British Petroleum. However, isnt it the American Law Makers that allow these companies to operate? Everywhere else in the world there is a law requiring the rigs to use acoutistc saftey switches except in the USA. Why? Because our politicians do it for the money, not the interest of the American public. Once again our politicians have failed the American people. http://www.nytimes.com/gwire/2010/05/04/04greenwire-warnings-on-backup-systems-for-oil-rigs-sounde-30452.html
