Lessig gives last 'free culture' lecture: Law Professor Larry Lessig officially logged off the debate on copyright in the digital age last Thursday with some parting words on the right to remix widely available creative content into newer, derivative works.
Emerson String Quartet: The eight-time Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet performs the West Coast premiere of a Lively Arts co-commission by MacArthur “Genius Award” winner Bright Sheng. Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 8 p.m. in Dinkelspiel Auditorium. Students in Stanford's graduate program in documentary film and video create award-winning films that show the world through others' eyes. The program, along with a new undergraduate major in film and media studies, is part of the Stanford Arts Initiative.
