Fiscal Technician Senior- Position # 00526

Pay Band 3, Level III, Hiring Range: $23,999 – $49,255

Fiscal and Purchases Division - Cash Management Unit - This position is responsible for the posting and maintenance of cash receipts and preparation of cash receipts journal to Oracle database. The incumbent also assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations and Comptroller’s Directives, and in accordance with the Cash Management Improvement Act agreement. Requires considerable working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Must have demonstrated knowledge of cash management principles. Requires working knowledge of cash deposits and recording. Must have experience analyzing financial data for conformity to established policies and procedures. Requires experience preparing reports and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines. Requires comprehensive knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software. Must have working knowledge of Commonwealth Accounting and Reporting System (CARS) or similar batch type mainframe system. Prefer high school diploma in a business related curriculum with post-secondary accounting training or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
