The School of Legal Studies, Indian Maritime University ( IMU ) will conduct the Common Entrance Test ( CET LLM ) on 19th June, 2011 at Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Pune. At the Chennai and Cochin Campuses from the August 2011 session.
The Indian Maritime University LL.M is a Two Year Masters Program in Maritime Law that aims to provide a thorough grounding in all aspects of International Maritime Law. The curriculum includes specialized courses in Shipping Law and the Law of the Sea. IMU CET LLM Program aims to equip lawyers with the knowledge and skills required to make a valuable contribution to the International Shipping Industry. IMU has signed an MoU with the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and offers a Seminar Course on the Law of the Sea there.
IMU CET LLM Eligibility 2011 :
The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA ( 50% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste ( SC ), Scheduled Tribe ( ST ) and Differently Abled ( DA ) categories ) awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
Candidates appearing for the final year of the Bachelor’s degree / equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirement and are awaiting results can also apply. Prospective candidates must maintain a valid email account throughout the IMU CET Selection Process 2011.
IMU CET LLM Application Form 2011 :
IMU CET ( LL.M ) Application Form will be made available through the following Channels :
- Downloading the IMU CET Application Form, information brochure and challan through www.imu.tn.nic.in and paying the relevant fee through challan to any of SBI / lndian Bank branches throughout India.
- Through select branches of Indian Bank by paying
1000/- ( 500/- for SC / ST / DA candidates ). For details of branches please refer www.imu.tn.nic.in. - By sending demand draft of 1000/- ( 500/- for SC / ST / DA candidates ) in favour of “Indian Maritime University” payable at “Chennai” to “Controller of Examinations” at above address.
- Direct visit to any of IMU Campuses at Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai, Kolkata and Vizag and submitting a demand raft of 1000/- ( 500/- for SC / ST / DA candidates) in favour of “Indian Maritime University” payable at “Chennai”.
- Filled in IMU CET LLM Application, in all respect, must be sent to the following addresses by super scribing the envelope “Application for IMU CET ( LL.M ) June 2011″.
