New Delhi: Virender Sehwag's father feels it would be unfair to blame his son only for India's disastrous World Cup campaign as the failure of key players like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid led to the debacle.
Kishan Sehwag said India could have performed better in the cricket World Cup if his son had got the chance to open the innings.
"I am satisfied with Virender's performance as he played well. If others do not perform, what can he do. Sachin and Dravid did not perform," he told a television channel.
"If they had made Viru open, we could have played more games and defeated other teams," he said.
