Cabinet revokes President's rule in Karnataka

November 08, 2007 13:17 IST

The Union Cabinet on Thursday decided to revoke President's rule in Karnataka.

The move comes following days of political activity in New Delhi and Bangalore.

The Janata Dal-Secular, whose refusal to transfer power to the BJP led to President's rule being imposed in Karnataka, later offered support to the BJP.

On Monday night, legislators from both parties paraded before President Pratibha Patil [Images].
