PM rules out snap polls

The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has ruled out chances of general elections this year. Speaking to reporters in Varanasi last evening, he said waiver of debt was not done keeping in mind the polls but to provide succour to the distressed farmers. The elections will be held when due, he said.
