I went to Anguilla and I didn't like it.

I thought that it was a shame that you had to rent a car to get around, no bicycle rentals in sight... Everything was too far to walk to.

There was barely anything to do but go to the Pyrat rum factory, and some strange church... all uninspiring.

The beach was very nice though (Shoal Bay) however, you can't spend THAT much time on the beach without getting bored.

Did anyone actually enjoy Anguilla? Why?

Anguilla is not to bad, i am going there with our business group. Anguilla is a destination where you can provide an elite experience to your group. it is a small island with a big reputation—perfect for small high-level board and strategic meetings, high-end groups and top tier incentive programs.

I guess not that great for a vacation then?

My thoughts exactly....

Yes, all of that is true. I just returned last month. It is known for its fabulous white sand beaches, clean, clear aqua water. And that's it. So, it's for people who want privacy, quiet, solitude and a serene respite.
We drove around the island and got lost down dirt roads and passed the same bulls three times. We stopped at a lot of beaches and they were all beautiful. One place we stayed at, grand Overlook Castle,
was a contemporary castle high on a hill overlooking the sea; in fact it seemed to hang over the sea. The infinity pool protruded from a cliff over the seas so you felt like you were swimming in the sky. It's a beautiful 4 bedroom castle with balconies and a huge kitchen and grand room. We even found a dungeon and a tower. It's great for a company retreat or family reunion. We were the only guests there so we had the run of the place and saw a gorgeous yellow sunset from the deck.
