It is important that you regularly test your own blood. This should be done each day at the same time before meals.
Because diabetes is a complicated disability and being combined with other disorders it is important that medication prescribed by the doctor be taken on a regular basis. Most medication can be taken either morning or night depending on your desires.
The complications associated with diabetes makes it important to keep control you diabetes and that includes blood pressure and cholesterol. This might also include taking specific medication for that too.
It is important that you understand exactly what has gone wrong with your health, you must endeavor to gain as much knowledge as you can. The internet is a valuable source of knowledge these days, but you must also be objective about the information that is available, and sometimes it might be biased to a particular medication.
Now comes the most important part and that is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. This must happen nothing changes unless you change. You have the control here.

Now comes the fun part, the exercises part, no excuses here, you must start a walking program that will take up to 20-30 minutes a day six days a week. Now if you have become so obese that you find walking almost impossible then start using some weights to get that muscles working and the heart pumping remember, no excuses.
Remember that this disability can cause blindness, amputation, dialysis, heart attack or stroke, anyone is not good.
Diabetes can be cured if you to start caring for yourself properly and trying to reverse the many years of abuse.
