Five Traits an Online Business Personality Must NOT Have
Everyone tells you about what you must have to have a good personality that works for an online business. There is a lot of material you will find about that. But what people don’t tell you is about the things that the personality should not have. So, what are the personality traits that can be suicidal to an online business?
We shall find out about them here.
Overzealousness
There is a thin line between zeal and overzealousness. Zeal is excitement, enthusiasm. You need that for your business. You can tell people that you are excited about your business, but if you behave as though your business is the only one the Internet ever saw, it is going to irk many people. Be pragmatic about your business and don’t try to reach over the top.
Dishonesty
If you tell people things that aren’t true about your business, people are going to stop trusting you and that will immediately show in terms of dwindling business prospects. For example, if your sales page tells something that your eBook has, but the person who has purchased and downloaded it finds that that particular element isn’t present in the eBook, it is going to jeopardize all future prospects you have with that person.
Pride
Many Internet marketers succumb to the deadly sin of pride. They think that their products are the best and that others are just digging in the dirt. They even start badmouthing other products on forums and blogs. Never do that. Remember that you will need these people later on. You cannot talk them down and then hope to collaborate with them later on. The Internet doesn’t work on solitary principles. You have to associate with people.
Aloofness
You have to be one with the crowd. Imagine you are trying to sell a vacation plan. Now, your website has to be shaped in such a way that it gives the person a feel of packing their bags and going on the vacation. If you are disconnected from what you are selling, that’s very poor online personality and it is not going to work for your online prospects.
Lack of Communication
However much busy you are, however much you dislike someone, however much you feel that the conversation with them will be nerve-wracking, you need to communicate. Transparency is vital on the Internet because people cannot see each other. You have to tell people what is playing on your mind if it can affect your business. A good personality is one that communicates well with their people on the Internet.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
