The last four years I have been making income through online affiliate advertising on small websites, blogs, and Google Adwords using widgets and other advertising tools. When a potential customer clicks on that widget they then are redirected to the businesses website in which im promoting. When that individual converts to a customer and purchases off that website, I receive a small percentage of the companies profit. I do this for hundreds of companies to increase my potential income. I use Google Adworks in which I bid on keywords involving my affiliates products and services and they show up according to what an individual searches on Google. Every time that person clicks on my advertisement and goes to the website, I get charged per click, but my rating on my ad goes up and will now be shown more. When the person clicks the ad they are directed to my affiliates web page and are more likely to become a customer, bringing business to my affiliate and potentially earning me more money. A lot of my affiliates are small business that i get off of a website called Clickbank.com. Others I went out and found. If you look at most websites on the bottom where it says “contact us” and “careers” you’ll also see “affiliate program”. Its a great source of income if you enjoy working from home.

First off, the objective is too generic. You should add the position title to show that you know what you are applying for. The objective should be about what you want to do and why you would be good at the position. Just a short sentence.

Second, you don’t need your school address in the education section. Try to list your GPA, if it is not too low, and any school related accomplishments. Maybe you can list some school activities.

In your “Work Experience”, you seem to explain the actual internet service more than what you did. Try to make it so you are translating this experience into something the employer can use. They might not care about Google Adwords, but care about you computer knowledge and how it will help them. The resume should be about how you can help the employer, not yourself.

With “Skill”, make sure you have examples to back your statements. For example, if you enjoy interacting with people, give an example of volunteering or being on a team. Anybody can make false statements. Plus the examples will make the resume better to read. Also, try to tailor your skills to what the employer wants. If you want a customer service position, the employer will most likely want someone who is more outgoing. But if you want to be in IT then that outgoing personality will not be as important.

The “Goals” are okay but try to write a section that is shows your interest in the specific field. You could try writing a section about your interests or something personal, if you are just entering the job market.

Also, use bullets instead of paragraphs. The employer doesn’t spend much time reading resumes so make the important information stand out.

Also make sure you use action verbs at the start of every bullet point to add emphasis and keep the statements short and to the point. What I would recommend is checking out a resume book from the library. They can help people who have years of experience and those who have none.

Want to start a small running/exercise club or business, need pointers and advice.?

What I want to do is to first start off with a small independent local free weight exercise and running club/business. All running an exercises will be performed on public grounds.

My target audience will be unfit teens to unfit adults, people who want to increase their running speed, distance, endurance, or people who just want to be more healthy and lower their heart rate. Body weight exercises will be included as well such as push ups and sit ups.

My experience – I have been through Army Basic Training, and AIT. (maxed my pt test in AIT). I am currently on the reserves, and I believe that a part time job like this could bring in some extra income to help me pay for school. I like to help people, and watch them improve. I am very fit, but will become even more fit before I even think of starting a program like this. I have also a good name for my club, and have promoted fitness products in the past with affiliate marketing, and this allowed me to learn a lot about the fitness world.

I am good at marketing so I believe I can get a good amount of customers.

I haven no nutrition or fitness degrees or certificates. I know this will help and if I decide to go along with this I will definitely need invest into it.

So, lets say I start this club or business. I will most likely let people try it for free, and then charge them a beta version since I would be new to this, and explain to them why I am charging a small price.

I am just concerned about liability. What if one of my customers or club member gets seriously hurt while under my “teaching or instructions” and they decide to take legal action against me. I of course will be making everyone sign a contract, waiver, or agreement beforehand. I am not sure how much good this will do.

I don’t have tons of money to spend on a lawyer also.

I’m 29 and i feel like i dont know who i am as far as work goes. I work at a publishing company, been there 4 years. We’re affiliated with a well known university. we publish products for MBA programs and training products for corporations. I was in customer service 2 yrs, got promoted, then i took a new position in the higer ed sales dept because there’s only so many places to go in cust serv. NOw i’ve been in higer ed for 2 years. I’m the sales coordinator and sometimes it feels like no gives a crap about me. The people i work with all have regions that they sell to, i basically support them with what they need and do some inside sales, but i dont get commission. Recently some new things were added to my job description, i’ll have more things that i ‘own’ rather than mainly catering to everyone else. I do basically what no one else wants to do, including event planning. I’m in school for my masters. I work with marketing also, what else could i do with this experience? Thoughts?

I have tried hard with blog and clickbank products and I have not made a dime. Is it my fault?

Is it my fault that I’m not making any money while others made $5,000.00 a day promoting Clickbank products? I have kept getting emails from different companies who was showing me a video presentation that he have made thousands a week and that I would make that kind of money if I pay $37.00. I tried it. I have tried many others and so far, none of them made me any money. Is it my fault?

The only way that person ever made any money is through sending all those videos claiming he/she made all that money and then charging you a fee like $37.00 to show you some ‘secret’ to making money. All of these things are scams. I discovered a very long time ago that all of these so-called ‘get rich by working 3 hours a day’ schemes are all lies. The system works where only the guys with ‘secrets’ and ‘strategies’ who will charge you anywhere between 25-50 will make money. Think about it this way, if there are 50 other people like you who wanted a system of making money, this person would’ve made (37 x 50) $1850.00 . You will find very few legitimate online ways of making money. I myself have a legitimate referral program that doesn’t give you an income straight away, but you’re given an income if the person you referred actually uses our services. Kind of like how a broker system works. There hasn’t been much uptake in my system though, maybe because it’s new or people assume it’s too good to be true, but one thing is for sure, we DO NOT charge you ANY fees to sign-up and refer. I think the key to spotting a dodgy scam is those upfront fees.

I have 4 post grad degrees and I can’t make head or tail of the instructions. The FAQs didn’t help. I wrote to Customer Support. They didn’t reply. I’m tearing my hair out. Is there anybody out there who has successfully completed this exercise? Can you help me please?

Chances are Clickbank was started and died a quick death. I’ve never heard of it.

Before selecting a self-publisher, make sure they are getting their books on Amazon and Fictionwise.com. Otherwise you are wasting your money.

If your book is good, try the normal publishing route first.

March 1998 – Can’t believe that it was 12 years ago! I graduated from Trent University in 1988 and then travelled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, Australia, Central and South America over the many years that followed. Returning to Bolivia in 1992 was amazing. To see where old friends from the exchange ended up was very enlightening. I have owned my own business (variety store & three baby products stores) since 1991 with my cousin. I live in Toronto and am seriously considering a move to the west coast to start up similar stores out there.

I would love to hear from anyone who was there in 1986.

July 2003 – Last night I received a phone call from CWY trying to update the past participant database. I quickly realized that it has been 17 years since the program. Tears welled up in my eyes after I got off the phone as the importance of the CWY experience sunk in deep. I have since traveled to 30+ countries on six continents. Much of this travel has revolved around my career as a Marine Biologist. I have specialized in sustainable development of small-scale artisanal fisheries and associated nearshore marine environments (seagrass, mangrove and coral reefs). I am presently living in Montreal and finishing my PhD in Marine Ecology at McGill University. I know that the CWY experience set me on a path to try and help make the world a better place and the time spent in Brighton, Ontario and Capinota, Cochabamba will never be forgotten. To all my fellow participants I would love to hear from you even if it takes another 17 years!

Mar 2004 – hey guys, Anyone out there? I’m living in Halifax but moving back to Winnipeg this summer. As you can see by my email, I’m in the military, I’ve been in since 88. I fly SeaKing Helicopters in the Air Force supporting the Navy. I’ve travelled around the world a bunch (around 30 different countries) but not back to Brazil (although I did go back a year after the program. I went with a friend for six weeks and went back to Varginha.)

I’ve seen and talked to Jane, Rick and Patrick a few times. I’m now common law with Shanna and we have three boys, Noah 31/2, Dylan 21/2 and Jack 8 mos. Having lots of fun. Anyone heard of or seen Linda, Nat, Pascal, Kerri or anyone else from the other group ???

May 2002 – After my CWY experience I went back to Edmonton and found lots of interesting work and plugged away at a university education (anthropolgy)(just one of those things you gotta do). Had a string of pathetic relationships until I came across the quote: “you won’t find the right one until you are the right one.” (Slow learner). Anyway, I now have a wonderful partner (together 10 years). We have 3 kids who were all born at home with a midwife. Life-altering experiences to say the least. I have since been very involved in the midwifery movement politically. As well, I have been providing labour support and prenatal classes for the past six years. I am now at McMaster University in the midwifery program.

I hooked up with Christine G. Over Christmas which was wonderful and I’d love to touch base with the rest of you, especially now that I’m living in Central Canada where many of you are.

Why does the ACLU blame ICE for illegal immigrant’s suicide ?

PROVIDENCE — Days after the arrest of an illegal Guatemalan immigrant and subsequent apparent suicide of a housemate at the same address, a Guatemalan diplomat, the head of the Rhode Island Affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union and community activists yesterday blamed “the harsh policies of immigration” with destroying families and “terrorizing a community.”

Immigration agents arrested Mynor Montufar last Friday, two days after he received media attention as the father of Rhode Island’s first baby of 2008, and another man, Rodrigo Perez, as Perez was allegedly trying to flee the premises.

Several hours later, David De La Roca, one of Montufar’s housemates, was found hanging by a belt in a locked bedroom.

Montufar and Perez are both in detention and Montufar will be deported, authorities said.

De La Roca’s death is under police investigation. A spokeswoman for the state medical examiner’s office said an autopsy on De La Roca has been completed and the department will issue a statement. The spokeswoman gave no time frame for that release.

Steven Brown, executive director of the ACLU’s local affiliate, was among several speakers at a news conference yesterday who linked De La Roca’s apparent suicide to fear of deportation as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents moved in on the apartment at 174 Bellevue Ave. in Providence. http://www.projo.com/news/content/MONTUFAR_FOLO_01-09-08_PA8HP38_v35.2959be0.html

Ok.. Let me roll my eyes back to where they should be. The man was an illegal immigrant and ICE was acting on a warrant. If his situation was so desperate that he needed to kill himself instead of returning to Guatemala, then he should have applied for amnesty. I’m disgusted by ACLU’s comments.

How can they use the term American in their name when all they do is fight to keep illegals here.

There was a big YA “exclusive” basically saying UConn is the worst offender in NCAA basketball history.
But when you read the story the whole thing is based on persons formerly affiliated with UConn interacting with a recruit years ago. No direct link to UConn was shown but extensive efforts were used to make it seem that way using rumor and innuendo. The story was very long but showed little real substance.
Is YA trying to sensationalize almost nothing to harm UConn during March madness? The timing is extremely suspicious. The content is really not there. The method of writing is clearly meant to mislead to the point of lying. The evidence, pathetic as it was, was at best highly questionable.
Is Dan Wetzel upset because his favorite team lost to UConn?

When I say 3d imaging software, I mean things like auto desk maya, google sketch up, true space and etc. I am already affiliated with all of these programs, but they are extremely difficult to use (except for google sketch up). I need a program that gives me the ability to create realistic renders, make animated scenes (and render those too), easily create models and lets me export my animations. But I need one that is cost effective, in other words, I’d like more bang for my buck.

It will render out in over 15 formats including AVI, AVIJpeg, Jpeg , PNG, BMP etc etc, and as it is open-source there is a huge community of users, tutorials and forums freely available on the net to help you along the way. Well, I recently saw one of my internet marketing friend who is an affiliate and does all the affiliate job through adwords. Yes, he run all the ppc campaigns, and generate leads to the other world . Thus he makes money…. Its a huge task . It will take atleast 2 months to get everything and start the campaigns.

If you have sites / blogs, you can use adwords and make money through it.. Should use business keywords and bid more money on them.. Thus, it drives traffic as well as leads. You may email me if you want detailed help.

Appreciate my candor. There are so many available now, your first hurdle is ranking up there for visibility. But before you do so, do some more homework on competitive price / service analysis; stand alone packages, and various bundled versions of complimenting tools.
A great way is to create your blog, the most effective medium to gain some trust first, definitely an RSS from your site with meaningful tips to drive traffic to your services.

Also, it’s going to be based on a variety of outside factors, such as:

1. What type of affiliate marketing?
If you’re promoting products say via Amazon and nothing else, and you’re not selling that much, then of course someone would probably say “less than $1,000″.

On the other hand, if someone’s busting their butts and is promoting a few good CPA programs, then their monthly income would be much higher!

2. How much ‘work’ is someone else putting into their own business versus what you’re putting into yours?

Therefore, I would suggest instead of focusing on how much SOMEONE ELSE MAKES, focus in on how much YOU NEED TO MAKE in order to live comfortably…or quit your current job!

Once you have a given number in place, then start focusing on what game plan you’re going to want to follow in order to make that dream a reality!

As far as a good tip when it comes to affiliate marketing…and this is based on personal experience…take one aspect of affiliate marketing, whether that be article marketing, Social Bookmarking, Email Marketing, etc.,etc, and FOCUS ON THAT ONE ASPECT until you start seeing a consistent income from your efforts!

Once you see a steady income from whatever it is you’re doing, and you now find yourself with some spendable income, then start branching out into other areas.

First thing to look for when you want to promote something on clickbank, is you look for the gravity, Gravity tells you how many sales has been made by affiliates with this product. This one you have there has a gravity of 355.80, which is pretty high. It can be good or bad, depends on the competition.Go to the google keyword tool and research the nice, find keywords in that niche you can target, If the exact searches per moth is more than 3000, I might look for other keywords. Try buyers keywords, like best dog training, or dog training reviews. Adding “reviews” or “best” or “buy” to a word in a specific niche might not get huge amounts of traffic, but they are targeted to people who will probably buy. We call them buyer keywords.

As far as gravity is concern, I try to stay with minimum of 2o0, maximum 130, less competition, easier to rank for.

It’s not illegal, because you’re not promising them anything. You are just promoting a product. It’s the creator of the product that is promising them stuff. And when it comes to making money, it’s not guaranteed success. Think of it like opening a franchise. Some people are making lots and lots of money out of it. Others aren’t. Why? It comes down to a variety of factors and variables that make the difference. How well its run. Location. Etc… You can rarely guarantee success. You can only provide people with the information and tools.

To stay on the moral side of the fence though, just don’t lie. Instead of saying ‘I used this product and it made me thousands of dollars’, say ‘use this product and you could make thousands of dollars’.
