Today’s message is one that I learned rather painfully as a young man. At the time, I thought that the betrayal was motivated by someone trying to help me, and I felt that ultimately I should quit on my goal. I did, thankfully, not quit, persevered and became much better for it. (I shudder to think about how my life would have turned out if I had taken the other path). The fact is that when climbing to the top of the ladder, it’s the last couple of rungs that are the hardest. The only thing that is going to get you to the top rung is persistence and a constant ability to protect your dreams.
How many dreams did you have as a child? The painful realization occurs as you are coming to terms with the fact dreamstealers have taken them from you one by one because you didn’t protect them. Once you have a major dream stolen you also come to realize that the dreamstealers come as friends who are “just trying to help”. They want to help you avoid disappointment. No. They want to avoid disappointment. The disappointment that they will feel, when you succeed ( because you were lucky ). What demons will they need to contend with when you succeed. Let that thought fuel you as well as this precious movie clip.
