I am aware of the research using cloning and stem cells for hair follicles most of which is being done in the UK. Currently the take rate of these follicles during implantaion in the scalp is around 50% versus 90% of your own hair during transplants so there's more work to be done before that's a viable aternative to using your own hair. I believe that these issues will be overcome in the near future and you may want to wait and see what transpires over the next few years in the field of hair restoration. Currently the take rate of these follicles during implantaion in the scalp is around 50% versus 90% of your own hair during transplants so there’s more work to be done before that’s a viable aternative to using your own hair. I believe that these issues will be overcome in the near future and you may want to wait and see what transpires over the next few years in the field of hair restoration.
