London: British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said in remark Wed morning that there will be no discussion on a new reserve currency at G20.
This was proposed by China and Russia recently, and an independent commission convened by the UN is set to recommend the same in a panel this week. (RFO).
If this view is upheld, what does this mean to the long-term survival of the US dollars? What will be the new defacto currency? Will they be resorting to the old gold standard? We shall be waiting to see this development.
