About Me
Welcome!
Though this blog welcomes all who deliberately visit or just happen to stumble upon it, it was specifically created to connect three generation of women – mothers, daughters, grandmothers and granddaughters – "j’num"givers all.
The female of every species is a ‘j’num’ giver – giver of birth – to its own species. From mothers to daughters to grandmothers and granddaughters, we are ‘j’num’ givers all.
It’s that commonality and destiny that binds us – three generation of women – in our common experiences that I want us to be part of. This site was created for just that purpose, to unite and to share our unique role in life of "j’num"givers- or motherhood.
Since the beginning of time and in every culture, the word Mother is held scared and sacrosanct. It is reveared, honored and celebrated the world over. Rachel Varnhagen called mothers God’s deputies on earth. A Jewish proverb says “God made mothers because He could not be everywhere." In the Islamic tradition it is said "Heaven lies at the feet of your mother." What binds the three generation of women like no other, is this life giving force called Motherhood – "j’num" givers. We are the life force of the universe, the right hand of God. We are His shadow and His voice, the guardian of His creation.
I hope, as mothers, grandmothers; daughters and grand daughters, you will come and come often to add your own unique voice, to share, support and encourage a mother, a grandmother. a daughter or granddaughter. I hope you will feel the urge to contribute, share and participate. Add your own personal insights and advice to women like yourself. I am a devoted daughter, a loving mothe, a supportive wifer and insanely proud grandmother. I am sure you can easily relate to my sentiments and if you don’t that too I understand. After all we are the "j’num" givers, it falls to us to encompass all. To love, listen and support.
"No matter your age, you are always a child in your mother’s eyes".
