Last Glimpse

Buzz Me
painting LAST GLIMPSE by Tomas Karkalas 2010
People are used to talk nicely and that looks wise. So you see not the complaints for the arrival of the sunset, but my painting Last Glimpse on above and are free to visualize it on a wall of your room. The print in its original size (65x71 cm) should look well there and inspire the dreams about the world where all words mean just what they mean, where the truth do not hide under the mask of symbols and need to interpret her ... wow! fine arts transform the reality into the fantasy that prompt the dreams....

Spiders do not laugh

Buzz Me

Pictures arise due to the received inspiration, yet people tend to admire not the Hope Giver but the artists. The world neglected God's Word and put the butterfly in the plaster. Spiders do not laugh. Yet I do not fear them. I liked the post about God by  ZenBananas. Read more here...http://zenbananas.com/stories/seeing-god/

transformational art at passing by the flowers

Buzz Me
THE WORLD'S PREMIER PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WEBSITE defined my pictures as the transformational art of Tomas Karkalas. Peter Shepherd was so right. while painting, the transformation happens indeed. Todays picture Passing by the Flowers proved the above once again - while painting I was overfilled with the incredible peace, now I am meditating on a meaning of my activity. The process of creativity awarded me with the smile, yet what was transfered to you? Can the abstract art replace the reality of the flowers? The picture can inspire the longing for a sip of fresh air, yet can the silence (the typical feature of the exhibition halls) replace a smell of wild landscape that points to inside and above to God?
It was fine to paint, and I am glad to look around now.

Test of Love

Buzz Me

While pictures talk eloquently, many fail to listen them. Look below:
Photo story TEST of LOVE 2010 by Tomas Karkalas
The fly that sleeps upside-down forces the passersby to revet their eyes . The likewise happens when while talking about the compassion, people encounter with the dirty homeless too. As an artist, I should sit back in awe towards so rich nature underfoot and I indeed identify myself with my paintbrush (see "wild pansy taught me the fine arts') I am taking Test of Love with my each picture anew.
Life of a disabler tightly binded me with multitude of limitations, yet living with the disabilities awarded me with deeper appreciation of the love- taught me the lesson of the power of the sharing.. Thus my participation in the work of art therapy club Modus Vivendi made me free- free to online writing. Art by Tomas welcomes each and all.

dragon-fly in town of metaphors

Buzz Me
The crazy walls overlooked an offense of being unwitnessed by passersby, and the dragon fly arrived in town. Yet the comforter was not noticed till I took a picture of the entrance door to my home and thus the dragon-fly in town of metaphors appeared on Art by Tomas blog. See below :

That was the real recreation. The miracle of meditation. Though the painting still looked gloomy but my readiness to listen enabled me to hear the space. Thus I was overfilled with the love that sprang out from under the walls of the silent stones and rejoiced over the dragon-fly greatly. He gifted the road stick to me. That was the art of being here and now.

wild pansy taught me the fine arts

Click on the artwork for better view.
The beauties of nature knocked on the heart and awaked, inspired me with the desire to breathe freely again. Lovely pansy erased the memory of the bitters of life, taught me the wisdom of smile by its example. Thus a look at the flower enabled me to take the paintbrush and so discover my city in a new light. As a saying goes "each picture is a self-portrait of the artist" At a glimpse these words may remind a poetry , yet they perfectly express the ABC of painting. In the beginning, the artist looks for what's beautiful, then identifies himself with his paintbrush and thus each stroke reveals the beauty of human soul -the spiritual realm - the picture beyond the picture. Such is my life aesthetics
