A Practical Approach on How to Make Things Happen

As many of my readers know, I am very passionate about making a real positive change in peoples lives. Thats the essence and drive behind this entire blog. Through years of study and practical action I have developed a strong foundation of what I find best works for me when working to accomplish goals. This blog is an outlet for me to share what I have learned and practiced to help strengthen your foundation as well. Its my way to give back to others and my hopes are that this blog will inspire and motivate you to take practical action instead of foolish action.

I spend much time reading self improvement and personal development material. A large portion of my day is committed to the study of achievement so I can serve you, my readers better. Now, in my honest opinion, there is a lot of junk out there, as well as a lot of gems. We have to be careful of what we take in and put into use. Currently for all we know, all religions aside, physically in this moment, we only have one life to live, and thats the one we are living now. Doesn't it make sense to use the most practical and efficient way to create your dream life of happiness and passion?

I am not saying I know it all and what works best for me might not work for everyone. But what I am saying is that you have to be aware of that yourself. Be analytical in your approach to self improvement and pick up what resonates with you. I study self improvement as a science, and therefore my approach in my opinion is scientific. I focus, analyze, create a hypothesis, create practical plans of action, execute, wash- rinse- and repeat, and develop a law that works best for me. This is something I suggest you take up as well. It has worked well for me, and may work for you as well, but you be the judge, if its not for you, disregard and carry on.

A Practical Approach on How to Make Things Happen:
Success in most cases does not happen over night. Long term success is often created and maintained by simple and consistent daily routines backed by a positive mental belief system. That is the foundation behind this approach.

Step One: Find Focus - In order to accomplish anything we must have a cohesive environment that promotes achievement. Find time to remove yourself from the noise of life in order to put this approach into action. This is an integral step in order to achieve your goals, so please take it serious. Spend at least an hour removed from everything, with no distractions, dedicated to the rest of this process. Be sure to leave your negative problems and beliefs out as well. Our goal is to focus on what you want in a positive productive way. Turn your negatives into positives.

Step Two: Analyze - We are all different, and what works best for you, most likely will be different than what works best for me. Analyze your current personality. Do you consider yourself to be a go getter, or are you more passive? What do you find works best for you when working to accomplishing your goals? How productive are you and what do you need to change? Write down all your strengths and how they benefit you.

Step Three: Create a Hypothesis - What is it you are looking to accomplish in life? Write it down and be vivid and exact. Describe your dreams and goals in color and emotion. Try and spend as much time on your description as possible.

Once you have completed your dream life description refer back to your list of strengths and how they benefit you. Next write down how you think your strengths will help you accomplish what you have written in your description. You will be focusing and using your strengths as well as developing new ones throughout this ongoing process.

Step Four: Create Practical Plans Of Action - Now that you know what you want, and the strengths you possess in order to accomplish it, its time to create a plan to get there.

What has worked best for me is the mastering of time management. No matter our current situations, whether we know it or not, we are on a path towards success or failure. That path is determined by our daily activities. Now that you are clear on what you want, and the abilities you have available to accomplish it, you must find time daily to use your strengths.

Each night write out a to do list for the next day and schedule blocks of time in order to accomplish them. Your daily goals should be in line with your dream life description and put into use your strengths.

Create goals that will push you and empower you. Some of my personal daily activities include: self improvement study, learning a new language, the writing of blog entries that challenge me as a writer and provide value to my readers, exercise, a healthy diet, and more. This approach to success is done by looking at the big picture and then breaking it down into steps you must take in order to get there.

Step Five: Execute Your Plan of Action - You must commit to your daily plan of action. Long term success is never the result of luck. In order to achieve your dream life you must take responsibility for your future and do the simple and even sometimes mundane daily steps. This is the process of momentum in action. Once you get started, and continue forward, before you know it you will be breaking through all brick walls that once stopped you and you will be crossing that finish line.

Step Six: Wash, Rinse, and Repeat - Self improvement is an ongoing process. We should never accept mediocre and always strive to become more than we were yesterday. After you accomplish something, spend time enjoying your happiness, but get back to work on your own self development asap. We always have room to grow and learn. Knowledge if used correctly is the leverage that we use in order to create our dream lives. The more you grow and learn as a person the more you will be able to contribute to others and your own happiness.

Step Seven: Create Your Own Laws - Scientists never see anything as absolute. They are always testing and retesting different hypothesis and approaches. On your journey to success take note of what works best for you and maximize that approach in the future.

What approaches work best in accordance with your personality and ability? Continue to grow and develop those, but always test others as well.
