Send a healthy message
I recently reviewed a new book for parents from Weight Watchers. I particularly liked its lists of healthy messages to send kids about their bodies, about eating, and about moving. For example:
"Think about what your body can do, not just how it looks."
"Fuel your body regularly."
"Snacking is not a hobby."
"Participating in sports is even more fun than watching them."
Food for thought, right? What kinds of messages--spoken and unspoken--are you sending your kids?
