I really don't get the need for a tablet and a laptop... If you only took one with you, but taking both, and a smartphone. Why? (at least a why that justifies the price of those two in particular). Also, why break the ecosystem with an htc one? Yesterday 2:52pm

I'm a web developer and internet marketing campaign designer.

I carry a 14" Dell Ultrabook for heavy website coding and photoshop work, Surface 2 RT with Type Cover 2 to show clients work, email and accomplish light web design tasks, and I use a Moto X for text messaging and scheduling appointments. Seems like a ton of equipment and maybe even over kill depending on your combination of laptop tablet and smartphone. ( I dont even carry my camera everyday) but every device serves an important daily purpose. If I spent my equipment cash more judicially, I could probably just get a Surface Pro 2 with 256 GB and lose the laptop, buuuuuut I don't.

I can't speak to the ecosystem part, but the reason to take all three is simple, I can take notes on my laptop, but if I'm running late, it takes less time to do so on my tablet or phone. Yesterday 3:24pm
