Hiking Mt. Tamalpais & Muir Woods by Public Transit (inner richmond)
Want to visit Muir Woods but don't want to do the tour bus thing? But don't want to drive either? Want to climb to the top of Mt. Tamalpais for fabulous views of the San Francisco Bay Area? This is your chance, as this weekend I will do one of my famous Muir Woods by Public Transit hikes. We first climb to the top of Mt. Tam then drop straight down to sea level to Muir Woods. Public transit on both ends, and the hike is carefully arranged to make pit stops at park restrooms and food spots, such as the West Point Inn and the Muir Woods Starbucks - yes, really. Cost is $20 for adults, no charge for children under 12 with parents. Plus, you will need approximately $15 for the bus fare/s. This hike starts early morning and will last all day.
This hike will be Memorial Day, Monday. Starts at 7:30 A.M. (Yes. Seven thirty in the morning.) Wear your hiking shoes and layered clothes. Call or text 415-205-9324 to let me know you are coming. Or just be there at the intersection of Lombard and Fillmore in front of the Honda dealership.
