The title says it. Doesn't it sound silly? In our day and age? Adults asking each other..."will you be my friend"?
Sad to say that most people will answer back "no". Most people are negative and will be skeptical,... what's wrong with this person that he/she has no friends, or needs new ones?
I feel most people have "acquaintances" not friends. People on your "friendster" list are not friends... its a popularity contest. People who see you and give a big hug and say "hey haven't seen or spoken to you in a long time" are not friends. In the paper and pen age that might have been true, getting in contact might have been hard. However, with cell phones, pda, and e-mail... there's no excuse left.
Please tell me your definition of "friend" and maybe we can become that?
