Freelance web designer and web maintenance expert with 12 years experience ranging from elementary brochure sites to sophisticated content management system php-based sites. My sites are carefully crafted with publishing house aesthetics that reflect the client’s needs, perceptions and the audiences psychology. Included is an expertise in making sites function across all browsers and the most useful, up-to-date site developments for search engine ranking.

Website maintenance is an art that demands intricate knowledge of HMTL, CSS, Javascript, Flash, PHP and other dynamic imports, so that changes can be made within existing sites that have been set up by several developers or are out of date. I offer re-coding services designed to enhance existing sites and create better, faster-loading, cross-browser performance.

Graphic design is done in tandem with freelance partner experts. Expert in PowerPoint presentations, working with freelance partners.

I have been doing expert level transcription since my Iowa State University days, circa 1994. Fully equipped for audio and video transcription with foot-pedal system, including time-stamping. Part of my extensive experience in transcribing includes a highly-developed literary and technical vocabulary. With my varied teaching/transcribing background I’ve had many years experience discerning and listening to multiple voices talking at once. My background also includes medical transcription. This highly demanding work emphasizes accuracy, technical transcription skills, and a skilled ear in interpreting rushed physicians, as well as those with heavy accents. I also offer proofreading of manuscripts or other pre-publication documents.
